Our story begins with a small portrait photography studio in Pittsburg, Kansas, and a man named Bill Miller who knew a thing or two about making photographs worth keeping.

After opening his studio in 1939, Bill purchased equipment to develop film and began printing for other photographers in the area. That studio grew into our parent company, Miller's Professional Imaging, founded in 1964 as a full-service photo lab built for professional photographers. Along the way, we learned the craft the old-fashioned way: by doing the work, paying attention to every detail, and understanding what makes a photograph worth keeping.

In 2003, we launched Mpix to bring that same professional photo printing experience to everyone—not just photographers.

A lot has changed since then. The technology is better. The process is faster. The team has grown. But the work itself still comes down to the same thing: turning the moments that matter into something you can hold onto.

Today, our teams in Kansas and Missouri still print, inspect, and assemble every order. From our color experts to our production teams, there are people behind every photograph who know their craft, notice the details, and care about getting it right.

Who We Are

For more than 60 years, we’ve been honing our craft—how a particular paper responds to color, how a photograph should feel in your hands, and when a print needs a little more attention. Many of our team members bring decades of experience to their work every day.

After all these years, we’re still learning, still paying attention, and still finding ways to refine our craft.

What We Make

From archival-quality prints and photo books to cards, and personalized wall art like canvas, we make things that give your photographs a life beyond the screen.

We use the papers and materials trusted by professional photographers, then print, inspect, and finish every order with the same attention to detail we’ve brought to the work for decades.

How We’re Different

The difference is in the details.

We bring the standards of a professional photo lab to every photo we print and we don’t outsource the work. You’ll find real people behind the scenes, too. Our customer service team knows photo printing inside and out, so when you have a question, you’re talking to someone who knows photo printing—not just someone reading from a script.

And we keep things moving. Most orders are printed and shipped within 24 hours, so you don’t have to choose between getting it right and getting it quickly.

It’s a pretty simple approach: experienced people, thoughtful printing, and photographs worth holding onto.
